  • Inspect Your Package: Check your delivery immediately to confirm you received the correct items. While we conduct thorough checks, occasional errors can occur. Verify that all components are included, as some parts may be tucked inside the packaging materials.
  • Retain Packaging: Keep all original packaging, including boxes, manuals, and inserts, until you're fully satisfied with your purchase. This simplifies any return or warranty claims.
  • Inspect Without Damage: Carefully examine products without causing damage to the packaging or item.
  • Enjoy Your Purchase: Once confirmed, enjoy your new product with confidence!


Warranty and Return Guidelines

Warranty Period

We offer a 30-day warranty and return policy from the delivery date for your peace of mind. However, please note the following:

  • Hobby-Grade Products: These require careful handling. Damage caused by crashes, misuse, or neglect is not covered under warranty.
  • Waterproof Items: Unless explicitly stated, electric items are not waterproof. Using non-waterproof items, such as RC cars, in water voids the warranty. Spare parts may be available for purchase, and we’re happy to assist with part selection and repairs.
  • Packaging Damage: Warranty does not cover damages to packaging or retail boxes. Such damages are considered common during transit and do not affect the functionality or usability of the product.

Returns and Exchanges

  • Change of Mind: You may return items within 7 days of delivery, provided they are unused, in their original condition, and include all packaging and proof of purchase. Gift vouchers are non-refundable.
  • Non-Returnable Items: Custom products, gift cards, and hazardous materials are not eligible for returns. If you’re unsure about a specific item, feel free to contact us for clarification.
  • Exchanges: For an exchange, return the item as instructed, and place a new order for the desired product.

 

Warranty Assistance Guidelines

We want you to enjoy your purchase with confidence. If you experience any issues, our team is here to help. Please follow these steps to make a warranty claim:

  1. Get in Touch – Reach out to us via our contact form or email support@thejoybox.com.au. Don’t forget to include your order number so we can assist you faster.
  2. Show Us the Issue – Please attach clear photos or a short video of the problem. A video is especially helpful as it gives us the best view of what’s happening.
  3. Claim Window – Claims must be lodged within 30 days of delivery, with proof of the issue included.
  4. Quick Response – Our friendly support team will review your claim and get back to you within 24 hours.
  5. Our Solution – If your claim is approved, we’ll arrange a repair or arrange return and send you a replacement, depending on the nature of the issue.

Australian Consumer Law

Our products come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, ensuring they meet acceptable quality standards and are fit for their intended purpose. You may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for any major failure.


Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you about the approval status. Refunds are processed as follows:

  • Approval: If approved, refunds will be issued to your original payment method. Bank processing times may vary.
  • Rejection: If the product is found to have been misused, damaged by water (when not waterproof), or otherwise not covered under warranty, the refund will be denied. In such cases, you will be responsible for repair costs and postage to return the product to you.

Manufacturer Manuals

Always read the product's instruction manual before use. Adhering to the manufacturer's guidelines helps prevent issues and enhances your experience. For example, certain RC product safety features may only function under specific conditions.

High-Speed and Aerial Products

For high-speed or flying products:

  • Pre-Use Testing: Always test before use to ensure components are functioning properly.
  • Warranty Exclusions: Damage from crashes or misuse is not covered. However, we’re here to assist with repairs.

Batteries and Chargers

If your product uses rechargeable batteries, follow these safety precautions:

  • Supervised Charging: Never leave batteries unattended while charging.
  • Safe Environment: Charge batteries in a fire-safe, well-ventilated area.
  • Keep Away from Children: Batteries and chargers should be kept out of reach of children.
  • Proper Storage: Store batteries securely to prevent short circuits.
    Failure to follow these guidelines may result in damage or injury, and is not covered under warranty.
